Thank you from More Mascots Please CIC


Following the success of the project to deliver promotional short movies to More Mascots Please CIC, we have received a Thank You card from their Chief Executive, Ceri Davies BEM.

Shortly after completing the Character portraits Project a couple of years ago, Ceri approach our group seeking help to promote the work being done by MMP(CIC) to reach out to disadvantaged children, those children with life limited illnesses and children with multiple complex medical conditions.

We approach Dudley MBC Community Forums who, understanding the complexities of such a project offered to double the resources requested providing we justified the additional expenditure.

Because of restrictions impose by successive COVID-19 lock downs the project has taken almost 2 years to complete but 9 short documentary style movies have been produced showcasing the work of the company and participants.

Once the present lock-down is lifted the plan is to present a couple of the movies to councillors at Kingswinford Community Forum.

Midland Film and Art

 

Midland Film and Art is a membership club where people can enjoy screenings of films or view artwork and crafts that would otherwise not be shown in mainstream cinemas or exhibitions, or be available locally. These shows usually have an educational aim, introducing new audiences to different audiovisual works through screening and display, encouraging participation in arts and crafts. A common feature that may characterize a Midland Film and Art meeting is that they either begin with an introduction to the audience and/or end with the promotion of a discussion about the film/art, where assistants, organizers and sometimes the filmmakers/artists themselves, exchange their views.
