Second Call For Artists

Following the huge success of the club's first exhibition at The Art Yard in Cradley Heath members have already begun preparations for the second show to run during October 2017.

"We're planning a full calendar of exhibitions throughout 2018 to give artists the opportunity to showcase their work," said professional artist and club member Martyn Harris. "We're seeing all ages, all abilities and all types of artist coming forward asking to submit their art for display. Many are artists who haven't shown their art in public before but they have confidence that MFAA will accept their work for display in our galleries."

The MFAA website now carries a Submissions Form download that artists can complete and either email back to the group or hand in at The Art Yard with their work. A lot of artists are engaging with the group through social media and following what's happening on Facebook.

The month has seen our numbers of sponsors increase to ten with the addition on Mark Harris. Mark is an experienced invigilator and student assessor working in the field of interior decoration and is also an Advisor for trade exhibitions. Our sponsors contributions help to resource activities at The Art Yard and they are passionate about giving artists the opportunity to display their work to the public at affordable prices. With their support MFAA can continue to offer all artists the unique opportunity to exhibit their art at affordable rates.
