A Record Number For MFAA Event
Midland Film and Art were asked to showcase a variety of local history films to educate and entertain the members of the Darby & Joan Club that meet regularly at Overend Methodist Mission, Banners Lane, Cradley on the 4th of June last month. MFAA presented four short films that day which went down very well with the club members, so much so that we were asked to screen again.
Nearly 100 people turned up to see the folowing short films based around the First World War: The Story of Joseph Tranter
Avenue of Remembrance Funeral of Sgt Joe Tyler We Will Remember Them
Midland Film And Art volunteers had a wonderful evening screening and presenting the films to so many people, it is encouraging to know that people have not forgotten the fallen from WW1 and they too express such an amazing enthusiasm for local history and filmmaking.
